This will be the most important antique tractor auction of the year! There are more rare and unique tractors here than nearly any other auction we have ever conducted! This is the first time a 45 hp Mogul has been offered in years! Don't miss the chance to own the 'crown jewel' of the entire hobby!

3rd Annual Butler County Antique Tractor and Engine Show
Date: October 23-24
Location: City Park - Morgantown, KY

Join us for our 2 day annual tractor and engine show. This year's feature tractor will be the Case tractor. On Friday, show participants and vendors will start arriving and displaying. Saturday will be filled with numerous activities such as: Tractor and engine show, Tractor parade, Tractor games, vendor booths, kiddy tractor pull, and numerous other events. Other events will be a raffle of an IH peddle tractor, club merchandise sales, and a 50-50 cash drawing raffle. All show participants will get a free barbeque lunch (courtesy of Mitchell's barbeque) and a show participation plaque.

Last year's show nearly doubled in size. There were about 60 tractors, numerous engines, and several antique cars on display. The Cub Cadet race team also exhibited their NASCAR race car. They are planning on returning to our show again this year.

For the ladies, there will be a harvest on the square festival going on at the same time. There will be crafts, food, and activities for the kids to enjoy.

We are anticipating this year's show being even larger than last year's show. Come and enjoy our small town hospitality, along with a fun filled weekend of activities. For more information and directions, please visit our website @ www.butlercokyoldiron.com or contact Tim Southerland (270) 841-8119 or Troy Dunn (270) 316-8530. Please check our website periodically as it will be updated with further detailed show information, driving directions, and a facility map as the event gets closer.

The Stephenson County Antique Engine Clubs Silver Creek & Stephenson Railroad will be running the annual "Train Of Terror" on three nights this year.

They've Decided to add ONE MORE NIGHT and will be running the "Train of TERROR" on Saturday the 24th in conjunction with the Fall Harvest & Fall Plowing Demonstrations ! This was just voted on and announced at the club meeting on the 18th, so we're scramblimg to advertize it locally. I wanted to get the word out on here as well. If your schedule allows, come for the Plowing & Harvesting Demo's. and stay for the "Train of TERROR"

October 24th 1/2 mile South of the Stephenson County Fairgrounds at the corner of Walnut & Lamm Roads

Train will be running from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM each night

All Rides are $7.00 for this event

I posted a thread with some pictures from previous years of operation, and added a few more pictures from the first two runs this year.

Be prepared to stand in line as we normally have a huge crowd for this event every year just from the local advertizing.

Color coded tickets are used with a different color for each run so if you buy tickets and decide to run into town or someplace else PLEASE be sure to get back in time. We have had a few incidents in past years where people buy tickets, leave and don't return in time and then wonder why they can't get on the next ride which is already sold out with the next color of tickets. Only option there is to either get a refund, or exchange your tickets for the next available color and wait for that train run as there is only so much room on the train for each run.

Even though we experienced some trouble with the clubs website with the Threshing Show advertizing, I think the Train Schedule part of it was working properly, and can be viewed at www.thefreeportshow.com

Fall Harvest & Plowing Demonstrations will be held Saturday & Sunday the 24th & 25th using Horses, Mules, and weather permitting Tractors. Train will be pulled with the Heisler Logging Locomotive from 11AM to 4PM both days with rides costing $6.00 for Adults, and $3.00 for children under 12. The Museum will be open accross the road and will be serving Sauerkraut & Brats. Train of TERROR will run from 6PM to 9PM Saturday night only, using the Diesel locomotive with ALL rides costing $7.00
