Default Unbelievable Flat Belt Drive

Here's one of many fine items in the Bolack Technology Museum at Farmington, New Mexico. This alternator was driven by a Corliss steam engine by leather belt! A "small" pulley on the other side drove the exciter.

You can see this and a host of other power station antiquities by special appointment on the 12,000 acre Bolack B-Square ranch. 505-325-4275.
