Default maytag multimotor/92/single hunter green color

ok i have probibly restored like 6-10 maytag 92's and i have always used krylon 2001 but i have found that it peels of easy and doesnt do good against gas and also that it is not as dark as the origanal color i have a carb with the origanal color. i have started using rustoleum dark hunter green and it does better against gas and is alot better paint. but it is STILL not dark enough for me. has anyone found a really dark hunter green that does good against gas?????? thanks and i hope you know more about painting than i do!! lol! check out my site at. www.freewebs.com/maytag

Have you tried Krylon forest green? If you let it cure properly gas dosen't seen to affect it. This is not the normal Krylon paint. It is called rust tough or somthing like that.

ace hardware can order it for you. Most ace stores handle some Krylon but not the good stuff.

Krylon makes 2 grades of paint The rust tough paint is more resistant to gas. A Krylon paints, although dry to touch in 10 minutes, should cure for 48 hours before being exposed to gas or solvents. I have had Rustoleum come off quicker with good old gas, than with paint removers!
