I just picked this engne up yesterday at an auction. It looks like a verticle version of the Cushman "X". I haven't found anything on my net search yet but I will keep trying. One person told me it's a Hardie engine. Just how scarce is it and when was it made. If it is a companion to the "X" it would be about 1927-1928. And is that strange intake manifold correct for the engine??Thanks for any help.
