I found an Atlantic marine engine at a shop yesterday. Its in excellent shape including a nice prop, and muffler. After doing research on the old marine engine website I believe this engine is from the late 1950's or early 1960's (even though it looks like it could be from the teens). Its a 4hp. My question is what kind of value does an engine this "new" have? Even though its not real old I would still like to talk the shop owner out of it, but I'm guessing its value is not the same as a 1909 Atlantic engine. Am I wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
