Best bet for rings at a decent price is Otto Gas Engine Works they are a sponsor on this site. Give them the measurements of your piston and they likely have what you need in stock. If they dont have it they can make it but they have a vary large selection. Went to them when I needed rings for a Barber Bros. marine engine fully prepared to pay through the noze for custom rings shipping etc. They replied that they had some in stock for $6.00 each! all I had to do was grind a slot for the piston key and they fit perfectly.

Yes--not its about time again! The Reeves does not even work hard with only the 2 gal freezer.
Question: The engine runs super quiet with only a loose wrist pin slapping. I want to repair this. The wrist pin is not worn much but the piston is about .005 out of round. I planned to just make a larger pin and bore out the piston to fit it. Unfortunately there are no wrist pin bushings in the piston to replace. So --should the wrist pin be hardened? Was going to use 01 and not harden. Steve |

That's a pretty impressive pinstipping job.
