My hat is off to you Judy for trying.
You can lead a horse to water; but, you can't make them drink.
Some people are just content with their lifestyle. And that is fine.
We all have different interests.

As I get older, I find it is harder to find people that have the same interests as I do. It is just a fact of life. So, I go solo.
I enjoy my interests and share them with others at shows and here on the stak. My collection is as unique as I am.

So, just be yourself and do what you enjoy. Post your projects on here and I'm sure there will someone who can help you with bring your ideas to life.

Kudos to you!

Candy

Thank you Candy. I'm working on a sweater right now.
I was thinking of taking two empty beer cans and
making something mechanical with them.

Here are 2 young men that are the future of the hobby!! They were knowledgable, diligent, courteous and always there to answer questions..They were a joy to be around at the Illiana show. My hat is off to these young men their parents and grandparents. If you notce one was a little bashful..

Has anyone heard of a Stirling engine? They are homemade
from pop cans and other material. I'm thinking seriously
on trying one.

I collect certain rocks and minerals. Quartz and geods mostly.
I saw an amethyst geod at a show once and it was huge and
very beautiful. Don't worry I'm not in this new age stuff. I consider
that witchcraft. Not good.

I'd like to invite some of you to come to the county
fairgrounds and the oldest of us call up to set a date
to start a rally with gas and steam engines. Especially
someome who lives close to me. Just get on google
and look up Hopkins county fairground. You will be
welcomed.
