I have a friend that has a ITT Federal Electric Corp. Power Plant for sale and would like to know if it's worth $1200. dollars? I'm not sure I need a unit this big but I'm not sure what it's worth. He says it works All the way, Guaranteed. Mod.-18, KVA 38/28, KW 30/22, AMPS. 104/52 ' 84/42
VOLTS - 120/208, 240/416, 110/190, 220/380
MFD. 10-67, CPS. 60/50, 4 WIRE,
And the unit has a 6 cyl. deisel engine.
Anyone have any idea what this thing is worth?
Virgil

Well if it will do what you want, compare the price to something more of the size you originally wanted. The only downside is repairs if needed will be more in most cases.

Most of the old or military surplus gen sets are junk when you get them. I have a 1976 consolidated diesel set with a Monarch engine. No parts or info is available.

What condition is it in overall? How many hours on it? If it's in cood mechanical condition and is guaranteed, it sounds like a good set, I would think it would certainly be worth $1200 around here in Northern Indiana (especially in thunderstorm season). Brian

Richard your Monarch engine is made by Lister-Petter and sold to condec and renamed Monarch some parts are available through Lister-Petter. If your engine is a 2cyl the Lister-Petter Model is SR2 a 3cyl engine is SR3. For info or parts search for Lister-Petter On their web site they have contact info for north america.
