Default 1/3 scale Little John - Deere with an Ice Cream Maker.

I don’t understand what happened . I just sold a ¼ scale Mogul Side Shaft model, and a little while later , I wound up with a 1/3 scale Little John - Deere with a 4 quart ice cream maker attachment . This model was never run after it was bought. For now, this heavy little model is just sitting on my work bench, a little dusty, waiting for me to fiddle with it. Someday soon I'll be making Ice Cream with the Grand kids . I can hardly wait.........

Paul,

That is a neat setup you have. As soon as you get it running and make the first batch of ice cream, let us know and include pictures.

A neighbor's son has a 1.5 - 2.5 International LB in my shop that we are working on. He is looking for something for it to do. Perhaps we will make it into an ice cream maker similar to yours.

Later,
Jerry Christiansen

Nice model, but I would rather have the Mogul!

Dave: Me too. However, I don't like having two of the same models in the collection, so one had to eventually go to another home. This is a good thing . Not to go into any detail, this is how I got the second Mogul Model that needed some TLC. Just lucky, sometimes .

I am not sure your scale is correct, The little john I seen were 1/2 scale that would make the fly wheels 8-3/4 in. the fly wheels on a 1/3 scale would be around 6 in.

That's what I was told . Seems it is a little different with big 10 1/2" flywheels . I wonder what scale it really is .

Don't think it will make Ice Cream the way it is set up.It appears to be running backwards. All freezers I've ever seen turned clockwise.Dick.

After some WEB searching , I found that Farmer Brown's Little Johns, were advertised as 1/2 scale (not 1/3 ) of 1-1/2hp John Deere model "E".... .
