Try looking up Hit & Miss Enterprises parts web site. He has blown up drawings of most of the engines he sells parts for, as well as owners manuals. I am pretty sure the CT is amongst them!

Big Goomba has recently logged his restoration here,
http://www.smokstak.com/forum/showthread.php?t=91735 He may have additional photos from his project that might help you. I have a hit and miss CT-2 but have never seen any assembly drawings for them. There are hit and miss and throttle governed CT-2 models, do you know which you have?

Thanks for the info. I have a list pending for Hit Miss.
I need to know where the baffle / shield on the inside of the crankcase goes. Has a 90. bend with 2 holes in it. Also has a area which is open. I believe this goes over the cam gear, but need to know if it goes under the small weight gear (between block and weight gear ) or ontop of the weightgear between bolts and weight gear (which is how i have it) Picture attached. Thanks Paul |

Hello there, here are some pics I took recently as I stripped down aCT2. Hopefully they help. Make sure you have the oil feed chute in place that goes under the two gears. Have taken somePics of the exhaust push rod & timing gear if you need it let me Know. Cheers Graeme.

Bend the sheild a little so it is 90 degrees, if that doesn't work file a little notch so it clears. John

I did put the shield under the bolt and ontop of the idler bracket for the weight cam. I did have to bend it more though to get it to clear the push rod.
Now question if i may, can you post the pictures of the push rod close up on the outside of the block. Mine is a HIt Miss not a governed engine, these would help me out a lot. Thank you once again. |

I just finished up working on a CT-2 but I just sold it to help offset the money I put into a another engine. I have been in and out of it a number of times so might be able to answer some questions.
Dont have any photos of the pushrod that I can think of. I can poke around and see what I can find.

These are some pics I took with flywheel still on. There is a small flat steel plate with a U shaped cutout at one end that acts as a pivot between governor shaft & the latching mechanism. the u end hooks under the nut on the gov shaft & pivots on a small rounded shaft under the round side cover.
Big Goomba its a shame you had to sell that CT2 did you get it running allright. Nice pickup for someone after all the work you put in! |
