Default associated hired man

Hi,
Just got ahold of an associated hired man 2 1/4 horse power. brass tag has whole chore boy line on it and patent date of 1914......

Just wondering if these engines were sorta rare..... It's needs some tinkering but runs well and is in original work clothes.. In general just trying to find some stakker friends who have engines like this one before I tear into it....

I have one that's around 1915 or so with the brass magneto. These are fairly common engines. Parts should not be that hard to obtain if you need something. They are pretty simple engines to work on. If you have any part that is worn bad it's likely to be the small pinion gear between the timing gear and the mag. It's the one that sits at a 45 angle. Good luck with you're project.

Regards, Kevin
