As far as im concerned, ebay really sux lately. Its so damn slow loading I get disgusted trying to list stuff or bid on auctions. They really need to do something since they started being powered by IBM a few months back, thats when it all started.I wish there was another auction site like it that was just as popular. Then I would say have a nice day ebay. John.

John:

Ted may have a point there about the ISP. I use Charter cable,(not the best provider in this area) and I never have problems with EBAY. Jack

One question, are you all on DSL or cable? Im still on a dial up and it seemed to happen overnite for me about 1 month ago and hasnt changed. Its so slow when im putting in the description for an auction that I have to stop typing a few minutes for the words to catch up so I can check for mistakes before I get too far into it,and scrolling down the page to edit my auction isnt smooth rather it is delayed and jumps. When I have to put in the days and the starting bids the cursor takes a few minutes to go from one line to another. It takes me about 1-20 minutes to create an auction with a few pix. Any ideas? Thanks.John.

John

Sounds like a computer memory problem. Not sure, tho. Try typing in a word program as fast as you can and see what happens. If you have the same lag as on E-bay, it is your computer.

I use a dial up and have no problems with e-bay.

At this very moment, eBay is malfunctioning for me. I go to "My eBay" and the page loads with none of my items listed. I have noticed a variety of little problems lately.

I've noticed that ads that attemping to get onto the screen can clog the computer. I have a dial-up that can cause slow-downs, particularly at peak times.

I don't know if having "My eBay" page load without the content can be blamed on my stuff or not. Let's try it again.......Nope....still not there.....

Okay..I closed the browser, opened a new one, and signed in again,- go to my eBay......still not there......

I guess I'll go for my bike ride... it'll all work when I get back. Maybe that snipe site ain't such a bad idea........

Jim,its only on big sites like ebay or Yahoo that it slows like that. Of course my comp is 5 years old and is only 350mhz and 6.4 gig hard rive with 64 megs of ram but it all happened overnite. Still puzzled.John.

If you want your computer to move faster, use hi-test electric if it's available in your area. Cost is not prohibitive.
