Finally got around to getting the old Poulan running, found the only issue to be a stuck diaphragm, so after cleaning the carb...

After running the Bow Saw, I would actually LOVE to have a more modern version for limbing felled trees as I can see the work moving much faster!

the bow bars were make for clearing brush and cutting small stuff.dont try to fall large trees with one they werent made for that and will bend easly.when my grandfather cut logs he had two poulan kd-100s they where about the only saws he used.the old poulan saws were really made i still have grandpas kd-100s and i still use them when i have a big tree to cut.the kd-100s i have were bought in 1949 and still run as good as they did when new.not like the new good for 40hrs poulan crap they sell today. the saw you have is in very nice condition and runs very well .

That's why I noted for felled trees, I'd never dream of felling a tree with it, with several modern saws for felling it would just be fun to have a modern bow saw for limbing and clearing away the area around some of the bigger trees we have been dropping as of late. I have a second bow saw I am putting together right now to add to the saw collection, just need time to get it done...
