Default Onan 6.5 remote

So waiting on my onan 6.5 nhe emeald genset model to be dropped off and was told it has a flat 6 pin plug for remote start. The genset harness i have has a start switch and hour meter witha 25 foot harness ending in a black plug. Have a pigtail but not sure which of the five wires goes where.

The chart for the back of the switch says a-brown-2, b-green-1, c-red-3 so i assume i take the pigtail and cut off black plug and hook red to pigtail wire 3, brown to 2 and green to 1..is this right? What do i do with orange and blue wires

Sure appreciate the help..will get serial when i get iunit here.

Thanks kevin

I am confused. I got a pigtail which I plug in showing wire 1 on top...6 on botttom. Manuals I have seen show opposite??

Then I see a sheet that came with my remote switch saying how to hook up the remote panel. I see red is #3 on the pigtail but what about brown and green? I am seeing two different ways to wire. Looking for help from pigtail to remote panel. Sure appreciate it.

Note i wired three of the five but have not turned on yet until i get confirmation. I did try to look at schematics but I must have missed that day in school as I cannot make heads or tails of it.

My Microlite 2800 (2.8KVFA26011E) uses the same single inline plug as shown in your picture. I believe Onan was fairly consistent in numbering the wires going to the remote switch, although they did use a few different connectors on the generator.

Starting from one end of the connector on the generator:
1) Ground - Brown wire - marked 1 on center terminal of remote SPDT momentary start/stop switch
2) Stop - Green wire - marked 2 on remote switch
3) Start - Red wire - marked 3 on remote switch
4) No Connection
5) Battery Condition Meter (not used on mine)
6) Light Bulb and Time Meter (if used on your remote) - Blue Wire
