Default Hello from Ontario, Canada

Hi Guys. I am a 66 year old mechanical design engineer, semi retired. My lifelong passion has been building hotrods and drag racing, but about five or six years ago the arthritis got me, and I had to give it up---can't get up off the floor without finding a friendly wall to climb to get back up. Since my life has revolved around mechanical things, I decided to buy a lathe and mill, and start building model steam and gasoline engines as a hobby.---You can do THAT standing up!!! So far I have built 10 steam/air engines and 3 internal combustion engines, a single cylinder hit and miss (The Kerzel), a single cylinder air cooled horizontal (The Webster) and a single air cooled Atkinson cycle engine. I have also built and published plans for a lot of zany things to drive with these small engines.---The Slinky machine, The bubble machine, a "nodding donkey" oil rig, a pile driver, and I am currently involved in building a "Muley" style sawmill with a vertical reciprocating blade and a rack and pinion powered carriage.---Brian
