Question looking for a tractor restoration project

hello i am looking for a tractor that my FFA chapter can restore. last year we had a 1952 ca allis chalmers donated to us. we have it done now and are looking for another one. we hope that someone either donate a tractor or give us a good deal on one.
the tractor can be running or non running but can't be a money pit as we only have a limited budget.

thanks,
james and the Northwestern FFA chapter

I wish that Case parts and other orphan parts were as cheap as what you can get from John Deere.

Honestly, if you want an easy restoration, with available and reasonable parts, then do a John Deere. If the parts are even available from other brands, I bet they are more expensive.

A good affordable old tractor is an F-20 Farmall. They are easy to find parts for (except for good used kerosene manifolds ) since they made a darn gazillion of them, and they're about the easiest tractor ever made to work on. Oh, and they're easy to operate, and when they're right they crank real easy and run really nice.
