Default John Deere E 1 1/2 HP

Hi, I'd like to find the dimensions for the "skids" that mount to the base of this engine. Were they made from oak? Where to position the engine on them.(Dimensions from the ends to the engine base.) Thanks Roger Thornton

I can get ya pretty close as to the dimensions. Believe these to be original skids as the green still was there. As to type of wood...can't help. See link below and forward one. I'll get the dimensions tomorrow...please remind me if I forget.

later,

RickinMt.

Here's the dimensions Roger:

Length 33"

Width 2.5"

Height 3.5"

From one end ALL holes are at:

1 & 7/8 "..no clue what they are for

11 & 3/4"..main casting mounting hole

27 & 3/4"..other main casting hole, but I'd let your engine decide these

31" Another hole I have no clue what they are for.

Holes are not drilled vertically in the center of the skid..possibly due to gas tank. I measure 1 & 1/8" from the inboard edge.

I see no provisions for the typical hand grips on the end...just 90 degree corners.

And of course YMMV :-))

Good Luck!!

RickinMt.

PS: the measurement is to the center of the hole...looks like ~1/2" hole.

Thanks so much. I'll get to the sawmill and get them ordered. Probably will use oak. Roger Thornton
