Hi to Everyone

Has anybody seen the IHC Friction Drive tractor chassis on Ebay? Looks like a good start for an early tractor. Located in Washington state.

Also lots of International Harvester NOS bolts on Ebay now with IH Logo stamped in head of bolt.

Have a ggod week.

The seller of this chassis is the man who won the Golden Gate engine at the auction in Walla Walla a few weeks ago.

We saw the frame a little over a month ago. The description is accurate as far as I saw. We bought a Happy Farmer from this seller, through ebay, and he was a very straight shooter, honest and personable....ED

Sounds like another job for Wendell . Someone must have a 20HP engine just laying around out back . I don't .

I saw that chassis when it was still on the original farm, although they got it before we did.......They sold alot of stuff lately, most likely to help pay for the Golden Gate.

I think someone was trying to pull a scam on you, and it definately wasn't him. I've known him for a long time, and like Ed says, he is a very honest, no B.S type of guy. More then likely someone hacked into his Ebay account and did this.

Believe me they can, had it happen to me some years back. You couldn't tell it from the real deal, the tip off was where they wanted the cash sent. F.J.W.

I had a couple fake 2nd chance was years ago, I bidding and end up 2nd or 3rd highest at around 1k or more next day and I see one email with different ebay id and he gave me email and he said not to contract seller.. so I just reply that email and waited and see.. got replay back so I able to track #IP whois was come from europe (romania) or where ever.. and I ask direct to seller.. he said didnt do 2nd chance. I knew it. also sometimes still getting fake 2nd chance..

but not anymore because ebay fixed it now bidder cant contract any of bidders list. but there is possible another way is scam is fake seller too. just careful to buy on ebay.

The chap who has this item listed has 100% positive feedback over a large number of transactions. He also has provided his phone number in the listing should you wish to chat with him directly.

Good to be forewarned that the phony second chance offers are still happening, but with the number of people that have already confirmed the existance of This particular tractor (frame) and the seller of it, I'd say there is nothing to worry about on THIS Transaction.

But YES.... Be Very Wary of any second chance offers even with the scrambled user ID's and everything else eBay has done in recent years to cut down on the scams.

It's been a few years, but I got one of those 'second chance offers' for a Reeves Pulley Company hit & miss engine that I was the next highest bidder on. I knew it couldn't be real, as the one I had bid on had a few original factory photographs and other documentaion that went with it which would have been impossible to duplicate. Plus at that time, the scammer wasn't sophisticated enough to copy the original sellers user ID and the different ID was a dead give away that it wasn't a real 'second chance offer'.

I have not been around the computer very much for a few days, the actual seller of the Minney is from what I know and have been told is a very honorable person! BUT, if you would email me, I will send you the 2nd chance offer that I was sent and better yet if you know anyone that can get it to ebay, Id be more than happy to send it to them.
Its still happening! as this isnt good for our hobby!

A legitimate "second chance" offer actually would have been generated by eBay. It would appear in the "messages" area of your "My eBay". There is even a warning, on communications from eBay, that tells you not to email the seller without going through eBay. If you want to report this you need to go to "Security Center" at the bottom of any page on "My eBay".

BTW...It was a MOLINE Universal. Built by Moline Plow Company.

Ok, so who is the proud owner of the tractor chassis? Can't wait to see it brought back to life.
