Mike,I just downloaded it last night and it works great. You can do a free scan and it will tell you how many files and folders you have infected but you have to purchase it for 19.95 do get rid of it.I had 169 files and 6 folder's infected. Benny

Do a Google search for a program called SpyBot. It's free and works really good. Mike

Spybot and AdAware will help some but it will not get rid of the tough ones.It takes as always laying out your money to get rid of someone else's annoying crap and hope that you don't buy yourself a whole new headache at the same time.I'm wondering if the free downloads don't already have Spy programs installed in them.It seems as if you get rid of 1 you get 2 more. I have found Spybot to be quite good, as does PC Magazine. It will search and DESTROY !!!!! Al Wait

Strongly suggest you download "Hijack This" here: http://tomcoyote.com/hjt/

which will scan your registry (I think!) for suspicious entries. You can then post a copy of your HijackThis log file here:

http://boards.cexx.org/index.php

and the pros will review it and suggest what to delete. There are other sites like this one: http://www.spywareinfo.com/forums/index.php?s=044852ccb39c965c3a7ecc064680b430&act=S T&f=7&t=24039

where those who know volunteer their expertise to help the rest of us.

Norton Antivirus by the way, does nothing about spyware - they don't consider that their problem: it's not a virus!
