Default Hello from the U.K.

I've been on here for a couple of weeks so I thought it was about time I introduced myself. Firstly, you're probably wondering about my name. Well, I was born in England and my father, who passed away recently, was a Pole who ended up in the U.K. at the end of World War 2. I am married with no children and I recently decided to retire early. That has allowed me to spend more time travelling Britain visiting our steam rallies and although I don't own any machinery at the moment I would like to own a steam engine one day. A particular interest of mine is vintage fairgrounds and I spend a lot of my free time working as a volunteer at a heritage fairground museum. I also spend (some might say too much) time on a forum which some of you will know called Traction Talk. If you guys are as friendly and knowledgable as those on T.T. I'm going to enjoy being on board.

Stef.

Welcome to Stak!

I, too, peruse Traction Talk and you might even see some photos of my Port Huron It is nice to blend information from both sites.

Enjoy our site!

Thanks Craig,
I have only one word of Polish in my vocabulary, so I will say Gendobre.

And thanks Beth,
I've seen pictures of your Port Huron and it looks splendid. I know that you are following the restoration of another here in the U.K. You probably know that at an auction held recently at the museum where I work, another Port Huron was offered for sale. It didn't sell on auction day but may have been sold subsequently.

Stef.
