Default New Guy from Mountain View, Calif.

Hello all,

Just got my hands on a 1.5hp Hercules engine with an EK Wico mag. Working on new rings and getting the mag hot. I have some machining experience but totally new to old engine repair or restoration. Hope to find some local engine hobbyists.

Regards,

Rich

Not shure but I think that would be branch 3 or 6 of The Early Day Gas Engine & Tractor Assn., Check the national page for more info one of them may have a website with some show dates listed. Welcome to the STACK

Welcome aboard Rich!

You picked a great engine to start with. Lots of examples, expertise and parts around. Plus, they are just neat engines to play with. As long as you remember that it can take your arm off, you'll have a blast. Enjoy!

Ibrich,

If you have time, go to the W.H.E.A.T. swapmeet this Sunday at Turlock CA.

Should be several Stakkers there.
Unless something happens between now and Friday morning to prevent me, I'll be there.

Howdy Rich. I lived in Mountain View in the '80s when I worked for Haltek/Test Lab on Linda Vista. Don't know if they still exist. Also did work for Test Equipment Corp (TEC) on old Middlefield. From google shot I see that house I used to live in is now part of Sterlin road exit off Central expressway.... Gosh, EVERY PLACE I lived in there doesn't exist anymore! Have to ponder the meaning of that....
Anyway, welcome.
