Default What to see California Vegas and Utah in May

I'm going to be in the states during May, with dates to be confirmed depending on what's there is to see.

Can you recommend any good shows in southern California, Vegas or Utah? I'm into engines and tractors. A bit off track for here but any good air shows on? Did the Reno races, Chino and Fresno air shows a few years back.

There is a whole lot more to Nevada than just Vegas, if you like steam locomotives the Nevada Northern Railway is a must see, the shop is open to tourists, if you are a real history nut and want to see it all, inquire about the "Death March" tour.

I did one of the steam railways in California a few years back but can't recall which one. Very interesting engine in that it had shafts down each side driving the wheels with cylinders mounted vertically. It was a very good setup.

Want to see Bryce canyon as well this time.

Agree about more than just Vegas. To be honest Vegas does not do much for me but I am thinking its a good place to pick up a rental camper and head towards Utah.

Hoover Dam is close to Vegas and you can take tours of it. Impressive!
