Default PRIMER QUESTION??

Restoring a 1961 Cub Cadet that sat outdoors lots of years. Need advice on rust removal from sheet metal & frame and recommended primer/filler to cover the rust pits. Plan to use 2 part automotive paint.

There is a product called "ALL YOU NEED" to prime very rough or rusted sheet metal or hail damaged panels. It fills rough areas like crazy and sands easily. It is a catalized primer to make it set up very fast and has a very short pot life. the only drawback is it must be sprayed in at least 70 degree weather, or it takes forever to dry! Works great on cast iron also. It should be avaliable at most automotive paint suppliers.

ALL-YOU-NEED is distributed by THE CLAUSEN COMPANY, 1055 King George Post Road, Fords NJ 08863. It is a one-step primer, surfacer, and sealer. It is also self-etching and Isocyanate free! It is avaliable in different colors, but the light gray seems to do good under any engine color....GOOD STUFF FOLKS!!
