Default Painting steel

Anyone know what the reddish paint is they use on the steel beams for steel buildings? I once saw a shop that painted all there new steel with this paint to keep it from rusting in there yard till they used it. I used to buy a lot of steel from them and it was a joy to work with. Easy to scribe lines on and the splater dont stick as bad. Thanks Dan
