I have several different pieces of sheetmetal that are very rusty and a couple are Pitted kinda deep. My question is what are some good steps to take in getting ready to primer and paint. What is the best primer to use? Is there primer with filler added to make a nice smooth Job? This sheet metal will be for show purpose's and want to look exceptional. Any help appreciated. Thanks

you will have to sand, clean with a metal treatment and use an epoxy primer or etch primer before using the primer filler. A polyester spray filler is as close to "sprayable bondo" as you can get and most paint companies have one. Make sure you allow the proper flash and dry times with those products to allow all solvents plenty of time to escape since this product is so much thicker and could take a little longer and you don't want to trap the solvents under the paint layer
