Default Pitted Metal (How to Fix)

Hello, I have a Small Front Rim that has Pitted over the years. I have Stripped all the Paint off and how can I fill in the pits for a smooth Paint finish. Do I primer then fill with spot putty??? Then Sand, or do I fill with spot putty then primer???then sand, Or anyone have something else they use thats better. I am open for any Suggestions on how to make this rim look nice and smooth and have a nice finish on it. Any help Appreciated. Thanks Brian....

There is a product i'm aware of that is called filler primer. It is used to fill in any imperfections and pits and such. Try that and see what the results are.
