Default Army/Marines green engine paint

Hello, I am trying to find an army or marines type green engine paint for my model Z Briggs & Stratton. I have looked every where i could think of and tryed every store but no luck what so ever so i thought i would come here as a last resort and see if someone knows were to get stuff like that. I found out my engine was used in WW2 so im trying my best to make it look original again. If i cant find the paint though i guess i'll just have to chance it and paint it that regular non heat resistant Army drab green paint they sell at the auto parts stores cuz thats as close as i can get to the original color of my engine around here. If some one can help me with this issue, Please E-mail me at: king.k@worldnet.att.net to let me know some info.

Thank you and this will be very much apreciated if someone can help.

A couple of thoughts if you haven't already solved your paint problem:

Try a PPG auto paint store--preferably a Platinum Jobber. They specialize in paint not auto parts and they know about paint.

1. PPG produced a chipbook of camoflage colors years ago and you should be able to pick a color from that. There are lots of military shades.

2. You can use conventional auto paint, acrylic enamel, Omni A/E, or urethanes on engines and it will work just fine, except for exhaust manifolds.

I am a retired PPG jobber. Good luck

Dick
