¿I would like to make a homemade whistle and was >wondering if it could be done, Yup¿or if anyone else has ever made one?

Yup, several¿Or even how to make one?

Shhhhhh! ancient chinese secret!¿Or if anyone sells whistles?

New or used?

Depending on how fancy you wanna get how hard it is...do you just want one that works or one that looks presentable too? ....Does it have to be brass or would steel or even pvc make you happy? Hooter or chime? Air or steam, plus how big of a supply (volume) do you have?

HI: Fairbanks Kid

Yes a homemade whistle can be made. I bought a 3 HP engine and it has a homemade whistle on it. It is made out of a brass shell cassing about 2" in Dia. and a boughten valve on it. The valve would be the tuffest part to make. I have some blue prints on a whistle in my file some where. email me if you want me to dig them out. Paul

Thanks folks for all your help. I was able to understand the basics and have started some experimental models of whistles. Only go's to show we have some really good folks here and I can only hope to return the favor. Thanks again
