I've got an Ideal engine, although it's a different model than yours. I think I followed the original scheme when I painted it, but that was 25 years ago so I won't swear to it. (A good case for documenting before, during, and after restoration) Anyway, as it sits now, both flywheels are green, the crankcase is red, and the cylinder is aluminum. I never thought of it before, but "Clown" is probably not a bad description...
