Default E Leonard & Sons Stationary Engine

Just found this site, excellent forum for us smokies!! Looking for any info on a large E Leonard & Sons stationary steam engine, date unknown. This is an approx. 200hp engine, 6ft x20" flywheel, 14x14 b&s. Have repoured all new babbit for the 4 piece mains, ecentric strap and cross head. Should be in running order by next spring. Would like to complete it by painting it with the original colour scheme and pinstripping. It is sitting at Pioneer Acres Museum, Irricana, Alberta,Canada. We also have a 10x12 Robb-Armstrong stationary, 2 cyl horizontal Waterous stationary, several other small duplex pumps, 190hp Bellis & Morcom steam generating unit, and a 65 Case Traction engine.

Default Re: E Leonard & Sons Stationary Engine

They where made in London Ontario. My great grandfather had a small portable bought new in 1899. There is a small stationary at Rough and Tumble in Kinzer Pa, don't know how it got that far from home, I mean small like 150 lbs. Ihave seen several in the 15 hp range but never knew they made larger ones like you described. Brian
