I tried to access information from Kohler company. I even sent a postal money order, more than enough to cover the cost of the literature with my request. Kohler used to be quite proud of their products, and very free with information, showing complete wiring diagrams in many of their books. Kohler appearantly can't be bothered anymore by anyone not spending hundreds of dollars with them. It brings the question.

"Why should I buy a new Kohler product, that in seventy years I won't be able to get parts or information for"? Am I asking too much?

Unfortunately, the last person at the K company who knew squat about what they made in the past retired 10 years ago. Since then, some MBA in their employ decided they could collect $35 per hour to search their files and copy the information you need. We need to remember, the K company is far more proud of their toilets and plumbing fixtures than they are of their engines. The remaining REPS on the road are toilet guys, not engine guys. The reality is their new stuff ain't that good, hasn't been for 10 years, and they ain't real good at coming up with parts for that either. The only remaining way to get info on K products is finding it at a distributor who has carried the line for many years. There's far more information and help on the net than you'll find from the K company. Collectors just aren't profitable, and pride in their product, well, they exhibit pride according to worth. The only thing they make today that will be around and operating in 50 years is a bathtub.

Kohler isn't payong any attention to anyone. Take a look at this thread from a pro lawn care list.
