Delco ? Dont know?

Just picked up what I think is a Delco! Open flywheel, Two exposed rockers, a little tag on the right side is the #148703 and on the left side is cast in to the block 9-13-21 and H-X-98916.Dont know much about these things but looks pretty cool! Any info or maybe a photo or web site would be thankful! Thanks Shane

In the first half dozen posts on this board is a link to Frank DeWitt's site. From there, you can go to the Delco section, and find more than 20 different Delco machines with photos. Happy hunting.

I'm not a Delco expert but I've been told that the nunbers on the casting that look like a date are just that. GUS

Mr. Ball sent me a picture of his generator and it is a Delco Model 615. I have several Delcos and some of them have dates cast in the flywheel, I assume that is the date of manufacture. I have been told that General Motors destroyed all the records on the Delco Light Plants, so those cast dates are one way to date the plant.
