What should a person pay for a running Delco 850 light plant? I know there are many variables but I would like a ballpark figure. Thanks.

I won't pay over $80.00 for one, but I have a very nice one on my trailer that still has factory paint on it. I have seen them priced form $150.00 to $250.00 at swap meets, and weren't running and some what rusty. There are a lot of Model 850 Delco Light Plants still around. They were the most popular generator Delco sold. They made them in 1916 through 1946 when they quit the business. through the years they put a lot of different control panels on them, but the basic generator/engine was still the same.

The going price for glass batteries in this part of the country is about $20 each. Anything less than that is a bargain.
