waukesha light plant?
hi,I know of a light plant that uses a waukesha 4 cylinder gas engine belted by 4 belts to a generator on the right side if looking from the radiator end.The generator looks like the ones on old tractors but is a lot bigger in diameter and length.the engine itself is the smallest 4 cyl. I have ever seen. Its about two feet long+ -.its a flathead design.Another interesting thing is it appears to be all aluminum-very light machine.I wonder if any of you guys with the web sites have pictures of one fixed up or know if you can get parts easily or not at all.i believe its from the early 40's but not for sure.another strange thing is it uses a wind up rope start not recoil-not hand crank-not electric-but wind up rope like an old lawnmower-its a 4 cylinder!!!!if anybody has one of these or knows about them(good points and bad points)please let me know.thanks for your help ...schramm... p.s.it has waukesha embossed in fancy writing on the radiator...
