Default Delco 32 Volt Generator

I need a wiring diagram for this generator. Discription: Painted black. Has an electrical panel that is attached to the top of the generator. I could also use an Operators Manual and a source of supply for the rod bearing. If any one has a picture of one I could match with what we've got, please post or send by e-mail to me. Thank you!

Delco made around 70 different models of generator, and probably about half of them were painted black. If you have the capability to post a picture here, I think I could tell you what model you have and I might even have a manual I could copy and send you.

Good luck! "DELCO DON"

Don, Unfortunately the generator is torn apart. I will try to get photos and/or some numbers. I have the facilities to forward photos. What photos of parts would you need to best identify this generator? Thanks! Emmett

We found some numbers for the Delco generator. On the crankcase: on a tag, 58695 On the crankcase: cast-in, 6H or 9H depending on how you look at it. If this is any help, let me know. Thanks! Emmett

If I had a picture of the flywheel with a ruler across it so I know what diameter it is and one of the control panel, that should narrow it down considerable.

The number 58695 on the tag should be the serial number and the 6H or 9H I don't know about them.

Some day (if I live long enough) I should have enough information to be able to date some of the most common Delcos by the serial number.

Emmett, from the picture you sent me, that is for sure a Model 850 Delco light generator.

I saw one in Kansas that was painted the Delco reddish maroon color. I was told that if you sent your unit back to the factory to be rebuilt that they painted it the Delco "red".
