I'll post this here as well as on SmokStak so no one will miss my new page. Don't let all the equations and geometry run you off, there's still a load of good information to be had.

The old meets the new and those who would preserve history. The treatise was written previous to 1906, the initial copyright having expired. Much work and effort, however, was expended to convert this material into modern machine readable form. Please read it and enjoy it for your own immediate use only and refer to my copyright page before considering taking it for any other purpose.

Jeannie said that I should reprint it and SELL it, but it's too good not to put it up for everyone. As a young kid, I remember a machine shop in my old home town that had all the belts and wheels running up on the ceiling. Never did see the engine or motor, which ever. They ripped it all up and made an antique shoppe out of it and then that went bust.

Yes, I do have a line shaft. No, I don't have the time to install it and make it go. I'm here at this keyboard instead...
