Default Old Elevator

We are renovating an old wearhouse in Augusta, Ga and are looking for a way to sell the freight elevator or the motor. Is there a market for these. My guess is that the elevator is around 80 years old.

Elevator motors on mechanical elevators are usually low speed, high torque motors and can be fun to play around with.

Are you really sure you want to get rid of the elevator???? I have a hand/rope powered elevator in a 1906 vintage building we rehabed, and I thank god almost daily we chose to keep the elevator, it is amazingly handy...just a thought -Bill

I need to talk to someone about the rope powered elevator, I'd like to attempt to build one. Just don't tell the inspector.

Thanks,

John Bells
