Default kohler info

I am looking at a kohler gen set that the tag says 8kw & 10 kwa. what is 10 kwa? Are there any place where I could get some info on hooking up the low voltage side of this thing. It says 32v low which i am asuming that with 32v hooked up the dc side of the gen will act as a starter. I have two smaller kohlers that work this way.It has a 4cyl fc wakasha engine on it. The guy wants $500. for it is that resonable. thanks mike

The tag should say KVA (kilo volt amp). DC plants are rated in KW's (kilowatts)which is volts x amps x 1000, AC plants in KVA's, which is volts x amps x 1000, but for some reason, unbeknownst to me , it doesn't end up as watts. Did I mention that I'm a carpenter? $500 is a lot of money (a couple of weeks groceries and a tank of gas), but if the plant is nice and in good working order, you can't buy an 8 or 10 KWA plant for for that kind of money.
