Onan 2 cyl upright deisel Generator

I am looking for a schematic for a Military onan generator. This has no tags anywhere on it. It was surplus to a firedept and I am trying to fix it up for them. It is a 2 cyclinder upright dieselof about 5 to 7 kva. I replaced the voltage regulator with a marathon electric SE100A The input is 190 to 240 volts in and 63volts dc at 4 amps out. A training manual would be nice. I called the Onan people and they gave me the numbers MEP002A and 6115-00-465-1044. HELP. Jim.

Well your in luck guy - I have been a generator man for most of my life and im now 51 years old. I also have the onan master service manual - it covers about everything onan made up till i stopped working on the small stuff a few years ago. When i get home, which will be on thursday, I will check my manual for you if you email me your specific request - On the note of replacing the regulator with the basler model. Go to basler.com and check out there tech sheets for regulator replacements - sometimes you have to add resistance to the field circuit when changing regulators - there is a minumum/maximum resistance for each flavor of regulator. Otherwise you might burn up your regulator or you might not be able to build the proper voltage or several other symptoms.... This is the first time I have seen this sight I will check back some - maybe i can help you guys some - I have been doing this type of work for a long time. John
