4 cylinder Kohler generator

Hello,

Is there a way to date my 4 cylinder kohler light plant? It looks like it's from the '30's. Also, how can I find out the model? I have the engine running great but the generator is in need of help. THanks!!

Check out this site. Have you checked the brushes to make sure they're not stuck, cleaned the commutator and checked for loose connections? These are the most common cause of generator failure.

check the brushes, slip rings and the wires offf the brushes to ensure that they are still in good shape.
