Assuming that your Kohler is air-cooled, it would be 110 volt D.C. The manual start version was designated as a Model "T" made from 1924 to 1942. The automatis start version was designated as Model "S", and if the unit had a vapor gas carb, it would be designated as a Model "TA" or "SA" ("A" represented artifical gas). Don't bother looking for a valve cover, they never had one. The units made from 1924 to around 1930 had a Stewart Warner vacume can style fuel pump, after around 1930 they had a mechanical fuel pump, driven from an excentric on the oil slinger gear. Some of the Kohler 800 watt units had an automotive style ignition coil, but I think that most of them had a magneto inside of the flywheel. The points, condencer, rotor, distributer cap, can be bought at any local auto part store, they are the same as the Wisconsin Model "TH" or "THD". Some of the later units had a casting date scratched in the sand when poured, it would be clearly visible on the bottom of the engines base.

I have two running generators of this style, made from the best of four, so I have many extra parts if needed. Feel free to contact me if I can be of more help.
