Default Generator, MEP 701A, 3KW, Diesel

I just won an Army Generator on the DRMO Auction website. It is a Model- MEP 701A, 3KW, Diesel Genset, with the quiet package. It turns over (it's free), has 247 hours on it, and it's all there. It appears to have had a minor fire on top which destroyed the upper-wiring harness. I'm looking for a manual, a wiring harness and a voice of experience.

I have a model 701A generator, possibly for parts,I would like more information on who made the diesel motor and where I could get parts.

I've not actually seen one of these, but a quick Google search showed that some of them used Yanmar engines.
