sideshaft gears
I am working on a Jacobson sideshaft engine and need gears made for the sideshaft. The shops around here do not want to make them,. I am in need of some references.The old ones are good for patterns. Thanks Jim

Hi, Find an industrial supply company that has a "Boston Gear" catalogue you may be able to adapt a set of "off the shelf " gears. Also there are other manufacturers of common sizes of gears.

HI JIM, CONTACT BILL WOLF FOR CUTTING NEW GEARS. BOSTON WILL NOT HAVE, AS STANDARD, ANYTHING CLOSE TO WHAT YOU NEED. I HAVE SEEN GEARS THAT BILL HAS CUT FOR A DOMESTIC AND THEY LOOK GOOD, AND HIS PRICES ARE VERY RESONABLE. HE DOES NOT HAVE EMAIL BUT YOU CAN PHONE HIM AT 207-854-2188 OR 207-879-2614. THE CARD THAT I HAVE FOR HIM IS OLD AND IF THE PHONE NUMBERS ARE NOT CURRENT CONTACT ME AND I WILL GET CURRENT NUMBERS. GOODLUCK KEITH
