My only offer is from my heavy duty '47 Ford truck. The left side lug nuts are all left handed threads, and the right side has right handed threads.

Like the trivia threads! Keep them coming....

I used one today. How about the grease cap on the end of my IHC 1-1/2 M crankshaft.

I had a dishpan Fairbanks engine once that had a left hand thread on the pin for the cam roller, I think. I can't remember exactly.

Pulley on the flywheel side of a Briggs "Y". Lugs on my old 1970 Ford F-350. Flywheel nuts on the Briggs engines also.

The John Deere "E" engines like Doug said, have a left handed threaded shaft on the governor gear. Easy to break . Don't even ask how I know . Paul

Most Ford trucks and vans over here had left handed wheel nuts and studs on the left hand side up untill the mid to late eighties.

Simon, on a wet and windy morning ready for the off, taking a two ton Dorman diesel to a show.
