He had a "fishing line" hooked onto it. See that cable around the flywheel? It was placed on there BEFORE it fell into the drink.

I am not a Stickney fan by any means, but I have to respect the work that went into that engine. That is one hell of a job. A+ to Charlie for that one.

My sentiments exactly Tanner. I read about it in G.E.M. That engine is a beautiful piece of machinery.
Great Work Charlie!!!! Amazing ! Jordan |

All I could say was; "Holy Cow!!!" Did you, perchance be in Jamestown, N.D. with it this summer? Loaded on a trailer behind a motor home with a teenie Stickney alongside of it? I saw this rig behind the Buffalo Mall one evening. Wife and I were on a short shopping excursion and I spied it. I just HAD to drive 'round and look, while she just rolled her eyes. Lol

Here's a pic of it, at it's "first" showing...Butterfield, MN Show 2003. Hope to see you, Charlie, along with Marcus & the family, again, SOON!

My son & wife just love this engine we seen it this year at portland, my family are really into these engines, i let the wife go hunting with my boy(8)
they always fine the good ones, (good hunters)my wife just loves that Stickney, but she thought at portland that the 1 3/4 stickey was a model beside that 20hp stickey I just laughed,in a way it almost look like that, i didn't say she was perfect & knows everything about engines, but my son is pretty sharp with them, . super recover & restore job . |

Charles,
If you don't mind me asking, how did you find this engine? I bet there's a story to go with these photos? John
