Hi Gang, A quick question. When you slide the kick start with chain sprocket assembly thru the tank bosses, is there any sort of spacer that goes on the end near the sprocket? Maybe a pic posted from the rear of the engine may help me in this matter. Mine is just the rod assembly with the chain and sprocket going thru. Let me post a pic so you can get a better idea. The area in question is at the red arrow point. Thanks Gang!

Hello Papa Maytag;
I have a few of these Briggs FH engines, and they all only have a flat washer in that space. I have used 2 flat washers on one engine to have everything line up properly. These are a great engine, as they are run quite nice. Bill |

Like your answer with the two washers, say I've got one whow do you guys get the head off to work the valvs over?? If I try any harder I'm going to have the bolts twisted off, then I have to drill.
