I'm not familiar with your engine but most 2 cycles will run either way with no problem. The exception would be an engine with a rotary valve on the crank. Your ignition will have to be retimed, if it has a removable cam it would be easy, if not it could get involved.

P.P. engine will not make power if run in reverse - ignition timing will be way retarded and engine will run hot - if at all. To run reversed, both the ignition cam and the flywheel will have to be re-keyed for the proper timing. If the factory keyway is set at top center, simply inverting the timing cam will set the points, however the flywheel will still have to be re-keyed to pass the magneto at the proper time. Converting these engines to battery and coil is not practical, as the points are normally closed (coil will overheat). Some of the Model 1000 engines will run reversed - if the magneto addembly can be retarded enough on the block. (normal directionaly retarded will be advanced on reverse run engine) Andrew
