If you have a April-May 1982 Engineers&Engines Jerry Sanders provided a very complete serial number breakdown of gas and oil tractors from 1912-1929.

You have the late 22-40/25-45 set up. the early 22-40 had a 16 line lubricator. It is harvest time here.I will look and see what I have for manuals and let you know when time allows.

I found my type T parts book,1934 printing. The 22-40s show a 15 line lubricator with no other oil pump prior to tractor #45180. A gear pump in the oil pan and a 4 line lubricator is shown after tractor 45181. Looks like they didn't change after that. 1922 production is 45181-45280. 1923 is 46281-46480,46501-46502,and 47803-47901.The 1923 tractors have the eagle on the radiator.

My 22-40 is #46370 not yet restored. If you can find the book FULL STEAM AHEAD by David Erb and Eldon Brumbaugh, copyright 1993, it has some factory photos of 22-40s . You might try www.jensales.com for manuals. I haven't seen their list in a while but I think they may have copies avalible. My parts book is somewhat fragile and I wouldn't want to turn it over to the local copy center. When I have taken anything there the first thing I hear is "we won't be responsable for damage".
