Not sure if this post is really appropriate here, as these engines are brand new, but is there any following for these in this group? I have a 8HP and I like it so much, I'm looking for another! I was hoping to see some at Portland, but didn't.
(For those not familiar, I'm referring to the Diesel engine that was designed in the 30's by the R. A. Lister company in England - and now produced, under license, I guess, by several manufacturers in India. Like this: http://www.ggautomotive.com/lg_04.htm |

There are usally a couple of these listed on E-Bay. I type in flywheel engine to find them. I guess you could go by name also. When I was in South Africa a month ago I saw a few of these engines. They are still in use there. One had Chinease writing on it. I think the name was Globe?

Yes, I've also seen them on eBay. I'm hoping to find someone offering them at an engine show, preferably within driving distance from Indianapolis...

An outfit that sells the Listeroid engine is called Utterpower and can be found at utterpower.com.
Along with the Lister clones, they sell Chinese and other diesel engines, generator heads, etc. Note that I'm not getting a commission for this. Take care - Elden Elden's Junky Web Page' |

I am with you guys I would love to have one but a $250 shipping cost above the price of the engine is a tough one to swallow. There was a guy in North Carolina selling them but I think his supplier ran dry. I would love to have one though and am still looking.

There are still plenty of original CS's over here for sale for around $100-200.
Even an engine thats been idle for years will fire up after a couple of spins of the handle. We recently dug one out of a farm that had been abandoned for 45 years and it fired up straight away. Don't know what the shipping costs would be from here but may be worth finding out. Simon. |

Try this web site, chuggerdiesel , they have a 6 hp 8 hp and 10 hp Lister Diesel type. 8 hp model sells for around $1350.oo I think there was one at Portland, they were generating power to run a microwave and giving away popcorn that they had popped in the microwave.
