Le Sueur/Massey Expo/Wallis Cub photo
Glad to see that we finally have our own OLD tractor discussion. I have been trying to get ytmag to do the same, but gave up trying. Harry had some good pushers to get the job accomplished here. Sending along a photo taken at the Le Sueur, Mn. Pioneer Power Show last August. It is of a Wallis Cub celebrating its 90th birthday. The Massey Expo of North America was quite an event. Over 250 tractors were on display including (2) Massey No. 2's, and (1) Parrett which is what the No. 2's derived from. An re-enactment of the Massey Harvest Brigade, which was the urgent wheat harvest during WW II was done using the same Massey self propelled combines, the #21A and 2 of them were working along with a #20 and 8 different self propelled Massey combines built up to 1965. Peter Love who is the editor of the Tractor and Machinery magazine from the UK was at the show along with his wife Jayne and a bus load of tractor enthusiasts from the UK. I will be updating our Pioneer Power Show website this fall yet, and by Jan. 1st should have it done. Still to much farming to get tidied up before the snow flies.
I don't know if the photo will appear, it don't in the preview window. The photo of the Cub got uploaded to Harry's but don't know why it won't appear. Maybe by some e-magic it will appear on this post, but if it don't could some let me know what I am doing wrong. Thanks, Dave
